Training

PCS has provided training for engineers, technicians and operators for utility and industrial power systems. This includes application and coordination of classical electromechanical protective relays as well as modern multifunction microprocessor relays. Generator, excitation and governor protection and controls are also covered.

Power systems operations training includes power flow and var flow theory and generator startup, synchronizing and operations. A portable generator set with controls is also available for on site training for generator operations.

Installation and calibration testing, methods and proceedures are covered for relay technicians.

PCS also performs post-fault analysis of relay operations from relay event records. We can also conduct training on event download and analysis procedures.
