PCS provides conceptual engineering including the development of one-line diagrams and protection schemes. We use engineering software to develop equipment sizes and ratings based upon normal and contingency conditions.

PCS typically works with our clients in developing projects according to client criteria. Depending upon the client’s needs, electrical system configuration and design may require double ended configurations, closed loop systems, with high speed relaying necessary to minimize process interruption due to faults and corresponding voltage drop. Other clients may tolerate less reliability and continuity in order to reduce first cost and complexity. Our firm evaluates various distribution voltages in accordance with geographical, loading and economic considerations. We develop options for design, prepare cost estimates and help prepare justifications for projects.
